DTS WEEK 5!!!

We are half way in to week 5 of our DTS, and time has just flown right by. We have had such wonderful speakers such as Mike Schneider, Jim and Barb Nizza, Dean Sherman (on DVD) and this weeks speaker is John Ray.

Mike- Having a solid foundation in God.
Jim- In depth Bible study.
Dean- Relationships, both with the opposite and same sex.
Barb- The character and nature of God.
John- Finding your identity is Jesus Christ.

The Students are an amazing group of people. We have a pretty diverse group from farm girl Abby to Cambodian Tim. They are all so different but so much alike in the way that they want to seek after God and his plan for their lives. MEET OUR STUDENTS...

Tonya Sinclair- 19, from North Carolina. Tonya is such a sweet girl. We don’t think you could find anyone who wouldn’t like her. She absolutely loves kids and is looking forward to ministering to children in Colombia this summer.

Abby Whitmore- 26, from Springfield Missouri. Abby has family in missions and recently returned from a trip to Asia where her sister is serving. She loves God with all her heart and it shows when she interacts with people. She is AWESOME.

Elise Haro- 22, from L.A. California. Elise is so cool. She has been in a lot of movies as an extra and was also a personal assistant to Johnny Depp’s Agent. She is totally seeking God right now and it is so encouraging to see her willingness to learn.

Matt Wilkes- 20, from Alma Arkansas. Matt is just an all around amazing guy. He would give the shirt of off his back if he thought someone needed it more than he did.

Ryan Levin- 20 from Andover Minnesota. Ryan LOVES coon hunting He even brought his hound dog "Red" with him. Ryan is such a hard worker and loves to get his hands dirty, which will be great when we get to Colombia.

Tim Chan- 25 Cambodia! Tim was born in Cambodia to a Buddhist family. His family came to Christ when Tim was young and now he truly has a heart for missions. Tim and his wife Melani, have been working with University of the Nations Cambodia working with children at risk for a couple of years now. They have a little bundle of joy named Luka who has everyone on the campus wrapped around his little finger. Tim and Mel never have trouble finding a baby sitter thats for sure!

Thank you for taking the time to read our blog and learning a little about who our students are. We will have a blog update every week about what our speakers are sharing and how we can apply it to our lives.

God Bless,
