(DAY 8) Monday was a huge day! We got a lot in. The morning started off by waking up and having quiet times and after that, we handed out tracts to the people in our area. I think we might have passed out about 250 tracts and then we also got to pray for some people in the church. One house we got invited to that morning was a lady that was not able to make it there on Sunday, because of reasons unknown. But we got to pray for her and getting a stable house, because her house consisted of holes and sheet metal and tarps. And prayed for her daughter and her daughter's son, getting to know the Lord more. The next house we went to that morning, was a lady that no longer attends church because she's providing for her family and she needs to make money for her family to live. So, she's not able to attend church anymore, so we got to pray for her that finances would come in so she could go to church and her whole family could come with her. And Monday was a play day at the school, so for the first hour we taught english, and the 2nd hour we went out and played different games with the kids. Some of us played "Duck, Duck, Goose" some of us played kick volleyball, some of us played volleyball, others played soccer. We had a lot of fun and the kids love us! Here in Thailand, being white is pretty. Seeing as how we're white, we're pretty. It's funny back in the states, that we try to get tans and be all tan-like, and here they cover up as much as possible so they're white. Later that evening, we were invited to a lady's house from the church where she cooked us dinner. It was about a 45 minute drive in the back of a small pick-up truck, which was to say the least, not very comfortable... at least for me. But, when we got there, she had made a feast for us. I think there was 20 odd people eating, I say odd, I don't mean weird... I just mean, I don't remember the number. We also got a chance to pray for her and her family. So, to say the least, that day was full!
(DAY 9) Tuesday was the same morning schedule as normal: wake up, have quiet time, have breakfast, get ready, go to the school and teach english. I think that day we taught on time, but later that evening, we had a chance to go to another lady's house who is also in the church. And we got a chance to pray for her. Her husband had left her and she was raising 2 girls on her own. The husband left her for a younger woman, and now is not helping out with the finances with his kids. And their oldest daughter is not going to school now, cause they can't afford it. She's still very heartbroken after a year. A lot of Thai guys that I hear of anyway are kind of the same way, but the ones I've met haven't been. So, just pray for these ladies, especially the Thai men... that they wake up and smell the coffee.
(DAY 10) Wednesday was a party day at school. It was kind of like a festival type thing. It was an all day event that the kids did dances and those type of things and played games and stuff, so we went there earlier and got to hang out with the kids. We also got to perform one of our dramas called "Kerplink". It was good to be there with all those kids and hang out with them, and build relationships. I think a couple of them finally warmed up to me. Seeing as how I'm so big, they're kind of scared. Thai people are smaller. They've never seen a foreigner, let alone a large one.
